Discussions about the treasure and evaluation of the spell book wind down. Before you know it, you're healed, cleaned up, and the feast begins in earnest. The aromas of venison stew, smoked trout and roast turnips and potatoes mix pleasantly in the great hall. Vodka flows plentifully, as does ale and beer.

As the evening progresses, the party becomes a riotous, drunken affair, with dancing, singing, and one or two fights that are soon broken up. Much more cheerful than the last feast you had here in this great hall. Even Pyotr's sourpuss wife Darya cracks a smile once in a while. Pyotr's son Taras and his wife Alfana greet you warmly, and ask you about your travels. Young Matvey listens in wide-eyed wonder as you recall your tales. Stellios the servant keeps you well-fed and watered/aled. Men and women from the other homesteads make up the rest of the crowd. Gregor, boss of the ruined Ilyakana lumber camp, arm wrestles with Yuri, the new blacksmith. The hulking twins, Grisha and Grishkal, keep mostly to themselves in the shadow. Masha, widow of Novannes--the blacksmith who was killed in the goblin raids--plays a few tunes on her balalaika, her baby Carina strapped to her back. Even the grumpy family from Segenyev is here, the one Bizenghast escorted back to Sukiskyn, along with Albina, the old lady you rescued from the Wolfskull lair. Occasionally, over the roar of the party, you'll hear screaming from upstairs. "Bastards! I'll kill you all!"

Stellios explains. "That's poor Kalanos, the boatman. Gregor brought him back here after you found him. But he's just not the same after the goblin raids. We hope a little rest will heal him."

Pyotr leads the clan in several toasts in thanksgiving of Stephan's safe return, and to your health and friendship. You also drink to your fallen comrades: Bombar, Marion, Jarek, Igli, Renardius, Ha'arcus and Harn.

OC: Quite a cast of characters we've had over the years, eh?

Kuzma approaches Jorg, and leans in to whisper something in his ear.

Strangely, Stephan is quiet. Though he smiles, and makes small talk, he appears pre-occupied with the tapestry.

Athelstan - Fighter

Athelstan will have a few ales, refraining from getting drunk, and he'll make pleasantries with the filthy Traldarans (just kidding) he'll talk to them and relate the stories of the epic battles with goblins, worgs, ice wolves, baboons, and all other means of monsters, spending extra time to highlight the brave accomplishments of our fallen, particularly his friend Renardius.

Finding a moment, he'll approach Stephen alone and bring him a drink, "What's on your mind? Share your thoughts, you have my confidence and your words won't be shared with anyone you don't wish."

Tethir - Elf

Tethir leaves when the drinking gets into drunk. He copies the new spells across to his book and turns in for the night.

Old Anja (Shaman)

Anja hikes up her robes and participates in some vigorous Traldaran folk dances!

Tret nearly passes out from the smell of Anja's feet released by her hiking her skirt. He leaves for fresh air mumbling, The stables would be better...

Jörg - Fighter
Jörg raises his mug and leaps to his feet at Anja's antics, whistlling and bellowing his approval. He stops however as Kuzma approaches. He is then seen to be nodding, in seeming agreement, to her whispered suggestion.

Meringered will probably drink a bit too much and boast about deeds he did not really accomplish, or over-emphasize those he did accomplish.

Stephan continues to stare at the tapestry. "Golthar may be dead," he says in reply to Athelstan, "but he wasn't working alone. And it won't be long before someone else comes along, and picks up where he left off. It won't be long before someone else comes after this map, looking for the lost valley, and all its treasure. We can't let them win."

Stephan takes a pull from his ale, then continues. "For ten years, after my shearing, I wandered these lands, forced to make my own way, as is custom with my people. So many adventures I remember. Some I don't," he adds with a grin, lifting his tankard slightly. "I miss those days. If you go to the lost valley, I'd like to come with you. Just imagine what we might find there."

Suddenly, Stephan lets out a laugh at the sight of Anja, skirts lifted, dancing with his kinfolk, then smirks as Tret departs. He doesn't smirk as Jorg departs with his mother, Kuzma, however.
