Do you know your bill-hook from your fauchard-fork?

After surprising myself by scoring a 15 on this quiz, I had to reflect for a moment and wonder: Why the HELL have I managed to retain this nearly useless information for so long when I can never remember where I left my keys?

I got 18, and then I get accused of being a cheater :(
Although perhaps I should prefer to be accused of cheating than accused of being that much of a medieval geek....

Some of them were lucky guesses. My memory of what differentiates a voulge-guisarme from a glaive-guisarme is a little bit hazy. And the partisan and spetum look quite similar to me. Luck helps in multiple choice.

I got a 15, but I guessed on some and got them right... and guessed on some and got them wrong. My recollection of Unearthed Arcana's page on Pole Arms is fuzzy; as a teenager, I would study that page for drawings and such. :geek: My favorites were the Bardiche for the damage (and I got that one wrong! ), and the Fauchard Fork (for the look).

I'm with bathwizard - I get a lot of those mixed up as I'm not even sure which distinguishes from which.

Oddly, I now have a desire to go research the differences of those that bathwizard mentioned, and some of the others! :ugeek:
