Mobile-friendly update?

Just wondering if it would be possible to update PHPBB to the latest stable version 3.1.x - which includes mobile device support by default? It would be great to be able to read or post on a smartphone without zooming in or out :).

Hey merias sorry for the delay in my reply. Basically I am stuck right now because I don't have the skills to move forward with this software. I will probably in the not so distant future pay an outfit to transfer us to different software, at which point it will be mobile friendly.
