Wampus Country! A blog about campaigning in a setting that's a mash-up of classic fantasy and North American tall tales, with a good dose of fairytale sensibility.

Up so far:
* random tables for generating flavorful witches
* merchants of the Silk Road (my Secret Santicore submission)
* some posts drawing ideas out of old-time radio programs

Over the Christmas break I'm hoping to invest the time to post up a whole mess of fearsome critters.

Thanks, 3llense'g!

Still banging away at it over here at Wampus Country. Some recent posts include:
* random tables for generating names for Western-style frontier towns
* 'Vulture-Men of Buzzard Gulch' location/adventure seed
* 'Hamburger Soup' - fantasy oddities adapted from things my six-year-old said

Tons of new content over at Wampus Country since the last time I posted, including setting stuff, some potentially-interesting tweaks to armor and XP, and of course, a mess of random tables.

The link below goes to a page with shortcuts to all the various (d100, often multi-column) tables at the blog, including potions, arcane books, fantasy names, town names, and more.

Shame on me for not posting this here earlier, but I'm running a contest over at Wampus Country.

Details: http://wampuscountry.blogspot.com/2012/ ... ntest.html

Short version: Participants submit themed adventure hooks, items, monsters, NPCs, maps, whatever; at the end of the process everything gets bundled up in a pdf for everyone to enjoy.

Deadline for submissions is 1 August.

Thanks, Smiler - that's always great to hear.

Things have slowed down a tad as far as post-rate the past couple of weeks as I'm juggling a couple things and we head into Secret Santicore season, but they should pick back up soon.
