Einar finds no pressure plate. There doesn't seem to be an alarm or trap on the shelves themselves.

The wooden coffer has two drawers and a lid, both apparently secured by a single lock. Einar tries to pick the lock (d%, 69, FAIL) but it is too delicate even for his experienced hands. The party will need to find the key for it.

The pouch opens easily revealing 110 platinum pieces and a small, flawless ruby.

OOC: Can we try and bash the lock off?

Game: After we are done fiddling with the loot, Anadrea suggest we head north through the door

The lock is an integral part of the coffer. To "bash" it means bashing the entire coffer and whatever it contains, if anything.

Anadrea

After looking over the coffer and conferring with the thief, "Well then, I say we shut this secret door and thoroughly search any pockets of these cult swine we slay in the future for a key. What say we continue through this door to the north?"

Einar, human Thirf

"Agreed", he says to the woman and proceeds to rifle through pockets for a key to the coffer. "How I love a good scavenger hunt while moon-maddened zealots strive to burn us to death."

After a moment he continues to talk as if to calm his nerves, "What are you all going to do with your share once we get out of here? Ale? Women?", he pauses a moment and looks to Anadrea. "Well, you know what I mean." And continues to search.

"Either way, the north passage is a fine a route as any in my mind. What say the rest of you?"

Dieter

To the north it is or flip a coin. Ale and women... do you know what he means? Shaking his head at Andrea. With that he will double check the desk drawer for anything missed, he will also pick up the light source to test it's weight to see if it's potentially hollow or not.

Dieter discovers that the glowing rock is just that: a glowing rock. It doesn't feel hollow.

Anadrea

Mumbles, "Women, men....what are they but animals as the deer and bear". She takes a moment to inspect her yew long bow and it's string for any imperfections in the glowing light and she is ready to head north or any direction if another is decided

Cygnus, druid (autoplayed by the DM)

Seeing that people seem to be in agreement but noone is acting, Cygnus will try the door to the north.

The door northward is opened by Cygnus. The light from the room spills out to a staircase leading upward.
