Einar (climb walls, d100, 83, SUCCESS) makes his way across the pit.

He checks the door for traps (secret roll) finding none. He attempts to open the door. The door swings wide with solid rock behind. It was a false door all along.

Einar (climb walls, d100, 10, SUCCESS) rejoins his companions at the other side.

Dieter

Dieter mutters: We really must do away with these vermin. He starts looking back the way they came.

KALVAIN

"At least it was not another trap," KALVAIN sighs. "To the south it is."

The party heads to the south. The passage splits soon and you carefully move around. You find that it forms a ring to your south with a passage off to the west and one off to the east.

You encounter no sound nor light. The dwarf finds a few more caltrops on the ground, perhaps from an earlier attack, which he adds to his existing bag of them.

Furuk makes his way to the T-section at the top of the ring. He peeks around both corners and looks to the south.

KALVAIN

...looks over Einar's map.

"It appears that this passage <points down the west passage at the 4-way intersection> leads to the hall with the boulder. Southward still then."

KALVAIN approaches the eastern passage in the circle and uses his mirror to peer down it. He has his shield ready for the likely incoming oil.

Anadrea

Daydreams of the open forest on a summer day. The sounds of the birds and chattering squirrels. The pleasant noise of the babbling brook. The hoot of owls at night...

She reluctantly follows behind the rest of the group in the dim stone corridor. "Onward, let's find this stinking kid."

Let the red dawn surmise
What we shall do,
When this blue starlight dies
And all is through.

A look east shows that the passage continues for a bit before turning north. You hear no noise and see no light down the tunnel.
