You know, I tried doing what DuBeers said. I highlighted the text and then I clicked on the "URL" button. But I got the following error message:

"You cannot use certain BBCodes: [url]."

Do I not have access to use the [url] code? Perhaps I need a couple dozen "Exalts?" Seriously, though. That's the error message that I get whenever I hit the URL button.

You can use the URL button after you've posted 5 times. So next time around, it should be active. I remember wondering the same thing.

It's an anti-spammer device George, although sadly some still get through. Welcome to the forum and as a follower of your blog I'm sorry to see that you're considering closing it, although fully understand the reasons why.
