Ooof! he will mutter in response to the hit. Bringing his sword around he will attempt to also strike BB3.

Caydon fires a missile at BB4 Caydon arrow [1d20+2] = 1+2 = 3 FUMBLE fumble [1d20] = 18 You accidentally strike yourself for normal damage plus an extra 1 point. In addition, you fall on your back and are unable to right yourself for a round. dmg [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7. The arrow deflects off a tree and ricochets to hit Caydon in a very vulnerable spot which he naturally grabs in pain and collapses.

The DM is chuckling on the inside at Caydon's misfortune.

Caydon stares up at the sky, wincing in pain. He struggles with the sting of mockery and snickering he hears coming from the cruel arbitors of his fate.

Thurwin tosses an energy bolt Thurwin energy ball [1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20 which sears the bugbear's flesh dmg [1d3] = 1.
Effric continues his scimitar assault Effric scimitar [1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20 getting in a solid hit dmg [1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2.
Calthas swings his broadsword Calthas broadsword [1d20] = 10 but cannot connect.
Tavin also spins through the yellow emperor's moon strike Tavin bastard sword [1d20] = 19 dmg [2d4] = 3 and ends the battle. The final bugbear falls dead.
Caydon is in extreme pain.

One bugbear is held, one is slept, and two are dead.

Thurwin rushes to Caydon's side and helps him up. "You must be more careful, old friend. We can't go losing you now, can we? Looks like the good Father is going to tend to you."

Thurwin will help search the others and kill the sleeping bugbear if it hasn't been done already.

Glancing at the held specimen, Thurwin chuckles and says to Father Redmond "Looks like you have a captive audience, good Father."

Tavin wipe his blade off: My thanks father... that was becoming a bit of an issue. Walking of to Caydon he will cast cure light wounds on him if the previous spell did not bring him up all the way. They are tougher than they look. He will say with a brief smile.
