Renardius (Cleric)

Renardius dismounts and stands near Athelstan, to form a wall which will (hopefully) prevent these beetles from getting at our own (live) horses.

"Guard the horses well, the beetles will likely try to go for them once they find we have stings."

Day 9, Loshdain, Thaumont 9th, Dymrak Forest, afternoon, Combat Round 2

Athelstan and Renardius leap from their mounts to form a defensive line. Those of you with missile weapons fire from horseback as the beetles charge over the goblin and horse corpses toward you.

Biz lobs a dart at the closest beetle (1), but misses.

Soldath has better luck. His dart pierces the beetle (1)'s chitinous hide (2 hp dmg).

Tret fires at another beetle (2), but misses. Jarek, though, hits the creature (1 hp dmg), leaving an arrow sticking out of the creature's carapace.

Taras draws an arrow and fires at a third beetle (3), but his shot goes wide.

You had one round to attack the beetles en route. They have taken a left at Greenland, and will close to melee range next round.

Actions? Don't forget to deduct any missiles used.
