The party (other than Thurwin) head to the Inn of the Welcome Wench where they are greeted with some apprehension. When it is clear that there are no particularly strange clerics among your group, the air lightens and the mood improves.

This large place is bright and cheerful. It contains several rough-hewn tables and chairs, boards, and benches. Natural tree trunk pillars support the ceiling overhead, all dark with smoke and age. A motley group of people is here. Ostler the Innkeeper tells you the specials of the day and there are others scattered about, as usual for this establishment.

Thurwin is brought into Burne's private study. He is taught two new spells: burning hands and mirror image. The instruction and transcription of spells will take all night and into the next morning and Burne tells the young mage that he can teach more when he has more experience under his belt.

Rufus takes the prisoners away.

Tavin - Monk

Tavin will order some ale and spelt taking a seat. Happy to get a warm meal he will smile and take in the folks other than the party occupying the inn.

As is usual for him, Calthas will sit down and drink his ale silently. He looks at the tavern attendance, but keeps also an interested eye at Bror.

Morgan will order a couple tankards of beer, and a hearty plate of grub. "No then," he says with a smile. "This is more like it." He'll chat up anyone who's up for it.

Bror - Fighter

Sitting with the others, Bror enjoys a hearty plate of grub himself, and then another, revealing a truly dwarven appetite all the while washing it down with several tankards of beer. Done with eating, the dwarf lets go with a rather satisfying belch before settling down with a stein of ale and a long stemmed pipe. He's not one for conversation yet readily answers any queries thrown his way.

Effric, Druid

Effric feels quite at home in the natural surroundings, and joins the others in a meal, feeding Sly some choice morsels. He'll then retire to get some much-needed rest.

CALMERT: Cleric

Enjoys food and drink with the group, but retires early for meditation and prayer.

Ostler charges you each 2GP for the food and drink, as well as nightly accommodations.

As you retire for the evening, you notice that your lovable rogue Caydon is missing. As you discuss it, you haven't seen him since you left the Temple (it seems that hauling the prisoners provided enough confusion that his absence was masked).

Thurwin is still with Burne, learning spellcraft.

Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin spends the night studying and copying spells. He thanks the mage profusely and asks how he can repay him for his teaching and spells. Before leaving he asks if he can be of any service, or if he has anything we can do on our next foray back to the temple.
Leaving the tower exhausted, Thurwin will seek out a bath, some food and some sleep. Once he's awake, he'll try to gather the group somewhere private to discuss sorting the loot so we can cash it in and reequip so we can get moving again. Before he leaves Hommlett for the temple, Thurwin will buy some supplies and plans to visit the temple as well.

Here's the summary of the loot. I didn't divide the gems/jewels into the total, as we may want to take some of our spoils in gems for ease of carrying... help me out guys, let's divvy this quickly and get moving, eh? (NOTE: I didn't find in my notes where anyone took Romag's mace, armor and that magic battle axe, so if you claimed it, please let me know.)

Calthas raises an eyebrow. "Has anyone of you seen Caydon since we left the temple?" he asks, looking at his mates. "Where could he have gone?"

OOC: we probably don't need all the equipment. Have we an arrangement in place to keep our stuff safe while we are away?
