Famine in Fargo ??

Postby Blood axe » Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:25 pm

Greetings Pure Strain Humans.

How many of you are familiar with the old Gamma World adventure Famine in Fargo ?? To me, this is one of the best, if not the best, GW adventure written. Im writing a remake/homage adventure to Famine in Fargo for MF. It will be similar in theme, but unique. I want to finish writing a rough draft, then I plan to have a test run here in the PBP section.

How many are familair with Famine in Fargo?
(read it, own it, have played it, etc.)

Cheers!

Not familiar at all with it. Is it a humans-only game/setting or was that just your greeting?

No its not all pure humans. All types are used in this adventure. I just figured everyone here on the forum was not mutated. Its a great old adventure. I ran part of it on the old GG forums. Its for Gamma World but can easily be used for MF with a little modification.

I'm talking about the 1982 version. Not the 4th edition collectible card thing.

The biggest complaint players have is that you are "railroaded". Its not an open sandbox, you have a pretty set path to follow. There is a set goal - destination.

As with any restrictive gaming issue...fix it with house rules/changes :)
