Rich Burlew wanted to get his book War and XPs back in print, so he set up a Kickstarter with the goal of $57,750 to get one book back in print. He just ended the drive, 30 days later with over $1,250,000!
Yeah, that's well over 2000% funded! He is now releasing his entire catalog (with one exception, a print run of Snips, Snails and Dragon Tails, which was produced to be a one-run only item), upgraded his board game, produced a Coloring Book and many more reward goals along the way.
Not sure if I'm the only person here who reads the strip, since it's set in the 3.5 Edition of D&D, but yeah... It's that good. Anyways, there are over 800 strips over at http://www.giantitp.com, plus an active message board, and lots of folks. They even discuss Labyrinth Lord in the Role Playing Games Sub Forums.
