Nope. There are clones of Melee out there. Someone on Boardgamegeek was pimping his version of Melee the other week. A version of Wizard won't be far behind. Besides, I thought GURPS was a Melee derivative?

Oh, there are several Melee/Wizard/TFT things here and there. Dark City Games' Legends of the Ancient World and Warrior & Wizard chief among them. But what I meant was something on the order of the latter but published like the former. Which seems like a great place for our Goblinoid Games hero to step in :)

Oh, and while GURPS is descended from Melee/Wizard/TFT, it's very much its own game. Without the angst involved in the comparison, it's probably not completely unreasonable to assert GURPS:TFT as 4th ED:B/X & co. Similar in spots, sure, but an entirely different game in the end. And one I happen not to be terribly fond of, in stark contract to its ancestor(s), which I adore. So that's why I'm hoping for the full-on Goblinoid treatment of Melee/Wizard/TFT.

It does, but I'm not going to ask that question ... ;)

(As speculated by a couple of earlier posters, but here put as a question: )

Is it a modern-era game? (By 'modern' I mean roughly 1920's to present)

Yes...and that's the fourth question! :D

Unfortunately I suspect it is nothing anyone will expect or at least is thinking of. I don't want to hype it so much that people feel disappointed, but IMO it's pretty cool.

Awww... I had a question and I missed the cutoff. Well, I'll toss it out anyway:

Is it a newly-written product, or is it another S&S-type aquisition?
