Thank you for the update. It has been awfully quiet in the crypt. With all the real monsters dominating the news this year, pretend ones have apparently had to take a back seat (except for creepy clowns).

What is it with the clown hysteria this year, anyway? Scary clowns have been appearing in literature, movies and television shows for decades, at least since the sinister hypnotist from "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" We've weathered "It" and "Killer Klowns From Outer Space." Evil clown costumes appear in party shops every year. So why get so worried about them now?
