Grimes - Fighter

Grimes will withdraw out of the fire for a moment to consume his potion of extra healing.

OOC: Sorry, I'm about out of life...

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

"We can't take much more 'o this!"

Dandy presses his attack against the infernal creature, this time with his rod of striking. He'll step out to heal the most critically wounded if the combat continues after this round.

Dieter - Mage

Will step away from the wall of flames and return the favor with another zap from the ice wand. Aye, the heat is stifling!

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 1 party [1d6] = 4

Dieter hits the beast with another ice storm. The chunks of ice pummel the efreet Ice Storm [3d10] = 23 and he wavers.
Grimes quaffs his potion of extra healing heal [3d6+3] = 11+3 = 14
Furuk swings his mighty sword. Furuk attack Sword +1 [1d20+3] = 9+3 = 12 (it's a good thing he went up a few levels with that potion!) dmg [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8
Dandy reaches hout and strikes with his Staff of Striking PC attack [1d20] = 17 dmg [2d6] = 5

The efreet falls, his mighty bulk crashing into the furniture behind him. The wall of fire dissipates, his will no longer keeping it burning, and the whumph of his fall puts out much of the fire in the drapes and chairs. Slowly the opulence of the room disappears: tapestries become cheap hangings, regal thrones poorly crafted chairs and stools, a dresser becomes a rough table made of slabs of wood and brick. The illusion apparently cannot withstand the death of its creator.

One chest does not disappear. It stands open, a mound of jewels and coins within, with a few other things as well including a sword... within are 1000 ep, 200 pp, four pieces of jewelry worth a total of 11,000 gp, a potion of healing, a clerical scroll of protection from evil, and Bracers of Armor (AC 6).

The sword is a different story: it is a black sword that shines like a piece of night sky filled with stars, and it is sheathed in a black scabbard decorated with pieces of cut obsidian.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes lets out a whoop as the thing falls and hoists Wave up high. "That'll teach you." He looks about the room and says "Well, let's search this place, shall we? And somebody, grab that sword so nothing happens to it."

OOC: Grimes will help search the room. Well, what now? continue on so we can poke ol' Crap Tis with our weapons?

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

"I think we need a bit 'o healing..."

Dandy will use the staff of healing on everyone (including himself) except for Einar, who he notes is unscathed. Then he'll cast CSW on Furuk, and CLW on Grimes, Castinus, and Shae.

EDIT: Dandy will take the cleric scroll and the potion, hanging onto it since he is all out of healing magic.

Dieter - Mage

Aye, Dandy. Many thanks! That is a sinister looking sword and using the other recovered weapons as a measure this toothpick probably has some interesting abilities. Dieter will express interest in the bracers but he's easy going.

Shae - Fighter/Mage
Shae approaches Blackrazor reverently, searching her memories for the Sword's lore. She extends her hand and comes a hair's breadth from touching it. "Perhaps with this weapon I will be able to finally make a contribution to this fellowship..." she thinks.
