OOC: You think for a second the Disco Inferno reference was a mistake? :)

Disco Inferno

Initiative baddies d6, 5, party d6, 3 Baddies have initiative

Four flaming bolts, lit by the magical wall, come out of the Wall of Fire and hurle towards the three in back. Again they pick the same targets, two at Dandy, one at Dieter and one at Einar. The Wall of Fire distorts their vision and they fire as if blind or blindfolded. The two at Dandy fly through the air (d20, 14-4, MISS) the first missing the dwarf entirely, and the second (d20, 20, CRITICAL HIT, MAX DAMAGE, d6+d6 fire damage, 12) streaks through the air and finds its mark. A bolt flies towards Dieter (d20, 4-4, MISS) but goes beyond the wall of stones and into the depths of the massive cavern behind you. A forth makes Einar its mark (d20, 7-4, MISS) but the thief easily dodges the missile.

The last lizardman warrior keeps up his attack on Furuk (d20, 3, MISS) but the half-orc won't be so easy a target this time.

The Darkling Captain takes on Grimes (d20, 16, HIT) and his sword bites through the halfling's armor (d8+1, 7+1=8).

Dieter hums a song out of time and space and keeps the Wall of Fire burning. (dmg d6x4, 1, 2, 4, 3)

Einar fires another arrow at the Darkling (d20, 7, MISS) but this shot isn't so lucky.

Dandy follow the arrow with his hammer (d20, 15, HIT) and finds his mark (d8+2x2, 1+2x2=6) and the Darkling shudders but does not fall.

Furuk faces off with his opponent (d20, 15, HIT, d8+3, 8+3=11) skewering the lizardman.

Grimes swings at the Darkling captain (d20, 15, HIT, dmg d6+1, 6) and the Darkling falls dead.

The living lizardmen are still in the Wall of Fire and still sound alive (although for how long?). All other enemies near you are dead. Grimes and Dandy took big hits this round.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes will quickly search the darkling as the other lizards burn burn burn, keeping an eye on them in case they come through the fire to attack.

Dieter - Mage

Dieter will keep up the wall in hopes of finishing the ballistic lizardmen, humming away.

Burn the pain away

Initiative baddies d6, 4, party d6, 5 Party has initiative

Dieter continues his Wall of Fire concentration. (dmg d6x4, 6, 2, 2, 3) You hear four thumps as bodies fall. Dieter lets the spell subside and the charred remains of four lizard-crossbowmen remain in the scorched hall.

It takes your eyes a bit to adjust to the loss of the Wall of Fire but Dieter's light source still illuminates well. Searching the remains, you find seven armbands (each worth 100gp), the Darkling Captain's sword (which is almost certainly +1), and some spears, crossbows (the strings nearly burnt through) and bolts.

Dieter - Mage

Dieter will observe his handy work with a smile. Do we venture down the tunnel or lick our wounds for a bit?

Grimes - FIghter

Grimes takes a moment to attend to his wound and then smiles at the carnage, saying dryly to Dieter - "Nice work. We should do that more often."

This spot may be a bit easier ta defend bein only one tunnel and a retreat at the rear. Lemme pray, give thanks, and study up - HEAL YE - and pray, give thanks, an study up again! What say ye?"

ooc; what's the status of Dandy's Staff O'Healin w/the time requirement and the members of our party?

Dieter - Mage

Agree'd Dandy, but maybe we rest on the other side of the bridge? Should someone cut the bridge while we rest we have no way back... just a thought.

"It sounds like a good idea. Let's head back over and rest for awhile."

Furuk takes a final look back at the hall and then joins Grimes in walking across the bridge again.
