Grimes - FIghter

Grimes eyes the x frame with suspicion and says "This room can't be used for anything good." Grimes will help do a quick search, and then he'll prompt the group to keep moving.

Grimes finds that the jars and urns seem to have herbs and scented oils. There is a large clay jug of wine and a small jar of grey powder. The large X-frame is slick with oil and a few herbs.

The stairs leading down are slick with condensation. They seem to lead to the sauna you briefly visited below.

Einar listens at the door to the south east. He hears not a peep. It is unlocked.

Furuk waits until everyone is ready and opens the door with his sword in hand.

Furuk opens the door which leads to a balcony overlooking the dome below. The balcony is 5' wide and railed. You can see the dead lizardfolk from your encounter previously on the ground.

The way north leads to the spiral staircase you had considered using to get here before. There are five doorways in your view, all closed, ringing the dome. There is a closed gate on the south side of the walkway.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes chuckles at the sight of the dead lizards below. "Heh heh.. that's a nice view." Then he looks around the dome and says "Want to go to that door?" (Pointing to the one next to the room we just left, going counter clockwise....

As good as any. Let's get a move on.

Einar approaches the room and listens at the door (secret roll) hearing nothing. He then checks for traps, finding none, and declares the door unlocked. He opens it and Furuk and Grimes burst in, like a couple of cops doing a no-knock raid.

Image

(secret roll) No one occupies this room. This room has a wooden frame with bedding and a chest. There is also a low table in the corner.

The chest is locked (secret roll) but Einar easily pops it open. Inside are a silvery black robe, an obsidian dagger, and a leather pouch with five yellow diamonds (100 gp each).

Upon seeing the diamonds, one of the henchmen gives a low whistle. It must have been Theo as you don't see how Karl's lips could have puckered to make the sound.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes chuckles as he sees the diamonds, then when he hears the whistle, he'll glance back at Theo and Karl with a blank stare for about 15 seconds. Then he'll palm the diamonds quickly (assuming no one else grabs them first. When Theo and Karl aren't looking, he'll hand them off quietly to Einar or whomever wants to carry them.

OOC: Does the dagger look magical? Or just ceremonial, perhaps? If no one wants it, we could let Gatto use it.... just an idea.

The dagger doesn't look magical at all. The obsidian blade is like the others you've seen, generally only wielded by the darkling lizard folk, although they've tended to have the swords, not knives. It is nice and sharp and a good knife.

Grimes - FIghter

OOC: So, just give the dagger to gatto? Any objections?

Also, Grimes thinks we should just keep proceeding around the dome in the counter clockwise direction.
