Map concepts

Postby knightvision » Sun Apr 10, 2011 11:05 pm

I've created a few maps using Paint Shop Pro and another program (for the old school icons). Tell me what you guys think.

I have another map on my blog/website

Both maps look very good, quite professional. Doors seem a bit variable, but that's nothing serious. In fact, come to think of it, there should be different-sized doors, but standard map icons make me assume they only come in one size....
Also, as a matter of personal preference, I use gray for rock/background as it is easier on the ink cartridge but again that isn't serious.

Looks Nice! But I'll echo bathwizard. Gray, or cross-hatching for the background would be preferable.

Ok, so a gray rock texture would be good? :?:

Nice map. I agree that the different size doors does look a little odd.

Yeah, they were hand drawn vs. object. I'll work on that part.

Here's a WIP map of a city I've been working on for our campaign setting of Ebonyr. Using Paint Shop Pro. You can see the progression on our blog
