Yes, this is the issue, and probably why you're perceiving a difference in print quality. I imagine the various Lightning Source printers vary a bit. Not only this but we're dealing with electronic printing--essentially high quality laser prints, but quality varies, ink may be low or the software prints it a tad dark, etc. etc. and so on.
