Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin picks up the tome and casts a disdainful glance at it. "This should be destroyed, for it is a treatise of evil." Thurwin will stow the tome in his pack and when we camp tonight, he'll burn it (assuming fire is available)
Thurwin will stand by until it's time to search the darkened area.

CALMERT: Cleric
The Gnome, trying not to look obvious making him painfully obvious, wanders to the flask and picks it up. He looks around... left eyebrow raised with a glance over the left shoulder... right eyebrow raised with a glance over the right shoulder...
"Ohh... such a shame this go to waste, tsk tsk. Let's not lose the last bit, shall we?" With that he quickly tips the flask up and gulps the last drop of brandy!

He then makes his way to the sack with the candles and, taking it with him, fetches the ink, quill, and parchment into the same sack.

Calthas is uninterested by the objects found in the room, and concentrates his attention to the unexplored areas as well.

The walking staves and quarterstaff Tavin examines are in excellent condition but don't have the aura of magic.

Calmert feels the warmth of the brandy spread through his belly and down to his toes and fingertips. Too bad it was spilt.

Exploring the darkened western space that Sly scouted, you find an iron chest chained to a ring set in the east wall. It appears to be locked.

The space turns left and there is what appears to be a door swinging open, as if it was used in haste without regard. The bracing on this side suggests that it was a secret entrance from the area beyond.

Tavin - Monk

Check the chest and then make way through the secret passage?

Morgan broods over the foul practices depicted in the tome Thurwin is carrying. He waits to see what's in the chest, sword drawn, before joining his companions in the secret passage.
