Grimes - Fighter

Grimes says "Great, lets do it! Furuk and I can go across first, and the rest can follow. We'll group up once we get across. We can observe, see how many are over there, and then when we're ready, we can spring it on em!"

OOC: When Furuk is ready, we'll cross together, then the rest can follow. Once across, assuming no one seems to have spotted us, we can obseve for a few, see how many beings are there, then jump em. Perhaps with Deiter blasting them with his light, or something else. We'll figure it out when we get there. Worse comes to worse, we'll just do a bums rush on the whole lot of them. That's in keeping with Grimes' mentality.

Dieter - Mage

That sounds good Grimes, let's get to it. Dieter will wait until his turn keeping a sharp eye out for anything.

So what I'm gathering is that you will cross two at a time in marching order. Will Grimes and Furuk be carrying Dieter's light source (you currently have two light sources, Dieter's magical one and Einar's torch)? At what rate will people cross? Or if you're awaiting Furuk and Grimes OK, how will that be communicated across a gap of over 80'?

Einar, Thief

"Why don't one of you who are able to see in the darkness take my cloak and get a better look at them. The rest of us can stay here. I'd do it myself if I could see in the dark."

OOC: original post was deleted, so the secondary light source is not present.

Grimes - Fighter

At the mention of Einar's cloak, Grimes says... "Thanks, Einar. Perhaps our esteemed wizard could don this cloak and accompany Furuk or myself across, and then case a well-timed sleep spell on whatever is over there? Would buy us time to assemble and mount some offensive. What do you think?"

Dieter - Mage

Okay, let's give it a try. Donning Einar's cloak he will say Many thanks friend. Adjusting his burden he will make sure the mask of terror is in easy reach and then walk with Grimes across the abyss.

Furuk waits with the others, while Dieter and Grimes cross the bridge.

Dieter - Mage

OCC: Dieter will take the light source. He is human, if that throws the plan we should reassess.

If Dieter takes the light source then the power of the Elvish cloak is negated.
