whumph of his fall puts out much of the fire in the drapes and chairs. Slowly the opulence of the room disappears: tapestries become cheap hangings, regal thrones poorly crafted chairs and stools, a dresser becomes a rough table made of slabs of wood and brick. The illusion apparently cannot withstand the death of its creator.
One chest does not disappear. It stands open, a mound of jewels and coins within, with a few other things as well including a sword... within are 1000 ep, 200 pp, four pieces of jewelry worth a total of 11,000 gp, a
potion of healing, a clerical scroll of
protection from evil, and
Bracers of Armor (AC 6).
The sword is a different story: it is a black sword that shines like a piece of night sky filled with stars, and it is sheathed in a black scabbard decorated with pieces of cut obsidian.
