Considered mythical by those who accept even dragons and lamias, the ManBearPig is a rare half man/half bear/half pig creature. They stand 6-7' tall and live mainly in mountains and hills, especially those with heavily wooded areas nearby. They attack with a bear claw on one arm and pig-tusks on their face. Like halflings, they have an uncanny ability to disappear in the wilderness: hiding with 90% ability in dense forest or undergrowth. Because of this, they have an initiative of +1 when in those conditions. ManBearPigs will attack most demi-humans on sight if they are alone or in a group of 3 or fewer, with a surprise for first attack on 1-3 if in their environment, even if previously spotted.

If they are found in their lair, usually a cave, they will have a mate 50% of the time. They tend to keep their horde in a side-cave and will sometimes try to catch their foes with a rock slide or cave-ins. This attack is never performed if found with a wandering monster attack. Cave-ins occur only in ManBearPig lairs and can be detected/disarmed by thieves as usual. Rock slides and cave-ins do 3d12 damage, are detected by players on a 1-3 and damage is halved on a Save vs. Petrify. It is rumored that up to 75% of all rock slides are caused by ManBearPigs.

Don't want to nitpick, but isn't there just 1 ManBearPig?

Only one that you know of... ;)

If you can have multiple yeti (yetis? yetae?) then I figure we can have multiple ManBearPigs. I threw this up as a side joke from the Forgotten Realms: Northlands of Adventure game. A fantastic (and fantastically DMed) PbP game on these very forums.
